UPDATE AFTER FINAL POINTS RACE Oct 4, 2008
The season final results and standings have been
updated. Congratulations to all the class winners! You can click on the "2008
Race/Points Results" link to see the results. Also, data has been uploaded
to MyLaps.com and you can view that
as well.
We would like to thank all the racers and their families for joining us this
year. There were many exciting races and we believe the club, as a whole, made
great strides in improving the racing environment, where we all can come and
pursue our passion for motorsports.
We would also like to thank all of our Raceday
sponsors for their support. Without them, a lot of this would not be possible.
Please patronize the companies listed on the left, whenever you are in need of
services they offer.
There is one non-points race left on the
annual Turkey Day race on October 26th. This is a great time to come out and
have some fun and try a few runs in the class that you will be moving up to next
year.
Again, thanks to all the HRKC members for
supporting the club this year. You are the reason that we are here.
HRKC Logo Contest
HRKC is holding a contest! We are looking for a
new club logo. So, get out your art supplies, or jump on the computer and create
the winning design.
Make it colorful. However, remember not to make
it too complicated or busy. We want to use the design on signs, shirts, jackets,
hats, etc.
This contest is open to everyone – HRKC members
and non-members.
The winner will receive $50 cash. HRKC will then own the rights to the design.
Entries must be received by Sunday, October 26 (HRKC Turkey Race
day). Send your entries to Susan Mitchell,
hisgirlfriday@cox.net.
The winner will be announced at the HRKC Awards Banquet on Sunday, November 23.
Questions? Contact Susan Mitchell @ 826-2863 or

Both organizations have decided on the following
changes to be made immediately: These changes will have to be done prior to the
July 27, 2008 race.
1) The wing angle to be changed from 15 to 20
degrees.
2) Install a triangle window net also known as a
sprint car window net in the left side attached to the rear left roll cage bar
and left front roll cage down bar.
3) Install an aluminum plate, 6" X 6" X
3/16"(thick) adjacent to the clutch on the right hand
side of seat, this is to be known as the "Clutch Protection Plate".
4) Every driver will be required to wear elbow
pads.
5) All rookies that have not achieved the 4 race
rookie qualification, will be required to start in the rear for the remainder of
the 2008 Season.
There are
also some additional changes that are being discussed for the 2009 Season and
those changes will made prior to the 2009 Competition rules and technical manual
