Welcome racers of all ages!

First time visitors and mobile users (and some returning members): Our menu headers are ALSO information pages.  We do our very best to provide as much easy to digest information on the website as we can, but if you still have questions, or would like to see additions to our FAQ, Getting Started Section, or anything else on the website, don’t  hesitate to message us on Facebook, or Send the Webmaster an email.  If you have specific questions about some aspect of the club or a class, we also have a full listing of board member position contacts, so you can “skip the middle man”.

Get text alerts from HRKC for weather updates (and maybe some reminders, we’ll be cool about it). If that sounds good, click here for more info about how to sign up.

As we've been watching and hearing from our members, we would like to clear up one major item in regards to the Briggs & Stratton LO206 engines for the 2020 season.

Specifically SECTION 6 of the B&S LO206 Rule Set directly from Briggs (referenced in our previous announcement and found here: www.briggsracing.com/sites/default/files/content/files/briggs_2019_206_rules_1118final.pdf)

-------------------
"6. ENGINE SEALING
There are two custom security seals with matching serialization installed from the factory. Tampering of the seals is not permitted. Should the seals be tampered with, the engine is no longer eligible for competition. Should an engine require dismantling for any reason that requires breaking of the seals, contact Briggs & Stratton at: Briggs & Stratton Racing – Email: Briggsracing@basco.com

Beginning on January 1st, 2020, only security seals with a black integrated thread wire or the red/black wire and the orange seal housing will be legal for competition.

Each competitor is responsible for the condition of their seal. We recommend that each seal be wrapped (plastic bag, etc.) to prevent exposure from harsh cleaners, degreasers, and oils."
-------------------

This means that Generation ONE LO206 engines (without black or black/red integrated in the wire) are NOT legal for competition. Only generation TWO & THREE will be legal for 2020.

We appreciate the excitement, but please purchase with care.

Just an FYI, the motors that will be illegal next season will be well over 5 years old and have plain silver cable for the seals.

What’s gonna stop head work being done

ATTENTION: Pro Wing Champ Karts WILL switch to the Briggs & Stratton LO206 for the 2020 season.

---------------

All,

For the 2020 Pro-Wing Champ series race season, HRKC is adopting the Briggs and Stratton LO206 engine and rules (with modifications noted below) as published by Briggs Racing (www.briggsracing.com/).

2019 rules can be found at: www.briggsracing.com/sites/default/files/content/files/briggs_2019_206_rules_1118final.pdf

HRKC modifications to the Briggs LO206 rules:
** Section 32 (CLUTCH) will be struck, as HRKC will keep the OPEN clutch rule as currently used.
** Section 35 (EXHAUST SILENCER) The use of the “RLV B91XL Silencer (part number 4104) with round baffle holes only.” The specified muffler can be used, or it may be replaced with the Clamp on Flare (COF) made by Robertson Torque Tubes (www.robertsonstorquetubes.com/product-page/clamp-on-flare). No other exhaust deviations will be permitted.

AGAIN, NO OTHER deviation from the rules will be allowed!

However, further modifications to the rules maybe instituted during the racing season on the basis of SAFETY!

See you all in 2020!

Hampton Police Cops vs. HRKC Kids

Who do you think won?! The kids, of course!

Unfortunately, one of the cops suffered an injury in a flip which ended the cops' run before the checkered flag, but what fun it was until then!

What is the cost?

To all Pro-Wing drivers (past, present & future),

Turkey race is fast approaching, and the track is very clean! The surface is free of oils and rubber, so this will change how your kart will handle since our last race.

There will be a test & tune practice session for those individuals and teams wishing to attend to prep before the HRKC Turkey Race on the 3rd of Nov.

Practice will be held from 10am-2pm on SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 2.

Gate #3 will open ~9am for trailer parking and safety checks.

Cost will be $15.00 EACH person entering the pit.

Gate #3 will be the ONLY point of entry.

All trailers will be parked on the inside pits.

Practice will be held like Late Model practice is done during the season (15 minutes of green with a 5 minute break, repeat)

Practice WILL END AT 2pm, no exception!

Contact Keith at prowingtech@hrkc.com for any additional information, questions, to indicate you're coming, etc.
